The Academy

A music academy built from a life in music.

YOMA Music Academy was created by Yarima Orellana after arriving in the United States in 2022 and beginning a new chapter in Houston. What started from her home became a personal educational project shaped by resilience, family, discipline, and a deep belief that music should be accessible to students with different ages, backgrounds, and goals.

In our academy, music is not treated only as a subject to study. It is a path toward confidence, culture, emotional growth, discipline, and artistic expression.

Young Learners & Individualized Guidance

Music can become a language of confidence, connection, and discovery.

After arriving in the United States, Yarima began working at Siena Montessori School in 2024, where she taught music and piano to children between the ages of 3 and 5. This experience strengthened her approach to early childhood learning through creativity, patience, structure, and individualized guidance inspired by Montessori principles.

Yarima has also worked with children with autism and other diverse learning needs, developing individualized teaching approaches based on patience, empathy, structure, and emotional connection. These experiences strengthened her belief that music can become a powerful tool for communication, confidence, creativity, and personal development for every child.
